These are our starting fees for a straightforward case. What a bridge is made of
A bridge is a run of joined units: a crown on the tooth at each end and a replacement tooth in the middle. Replace one tooth and that is three units. Replace two side by side and the run gets longer. The fee follows the number of units, which is why it starts at $3,000 rather than sitting inside a range.
Why we did not publish a maximum
Because we would have had to pick one. Five of the six fees on our schedule are ranges with a real top figure. For a bridge, any ceiling would be a guess about how wide your gap happens to be, and a guess printed as a price is worse than no price. So the floor is published and the span is quoted.
The teeth at either end have to be worth using
They carry the whole bridge. If one of them is already heavily restored or has decay of its own, it may need work before it can take a crown, and that goes into the same estimate. If neither is strong enough, a bridge stops being the right answer and an implant from $2,000 is the route that does not lean on them.
